The Firepoint Power-Splitter
The Firepoint Power-Splitter represents the professional progression for splitting difficult pieces of wood with a wedge and sledge hammer.
The wedge is forged, spiralled, and tears the wood apart. The blade is hardened.
The blow of the sledge hammer was replaced by a sliding weight of 4.7 kg attached to the main rod. You will never need to use a sledge hammer again. Misdirected blows are impossible. The risk of injury is almost completely ruled out.
The weight is pushed down. So you can measure out the blow in doses so that you do not become tired so quickly. Depending on how quickly you want to split the wood, use one hand or both hands. Pushed down with full force, the weight produces a cutting power of up to 20 tonnes on the splitting wedge.
On stone surfaces, make sure you place a piece of chipboard under the wood to be split so that neither the splitting wedge nor the stone surface may be damaged.
